Second Look is a scam and fraud risk analysis service. You can forward suspicious text messages, screenshots, or emails to us, and we'll reply with an assessment of potential risk signals. We use AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to analyze the content you send us.
Second Look provides informational analysis only. We do not provide legal, financial, or security advice. Our analysis is not a guarantee that a message is or is not fraudulent. We surface signals to help you make your own informed decisions — we do not make decisions for you.
You should always verify suspicious messages through official channels (e.g., calling your bank directly, visiting a company's official website) regardless of our analysis.
Second Look is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any analysis. We are not liable for any losses, damages, or harm resulting from your use of or reliance on our service, including but not limited to:
When you forward messages to Second Look, we process the content to provide our analysis. We automatically redact sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, and verification codes before storing any data. Please do not intentionally send us passwords, financial account numbers, or other highly sensitive personal information.

Free users receive one complimentary analysis via text and one via email. Paid subscribers receive up to 50 text message checks and 100 email checks per month. Each subscription covers one phone number and one email address. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time. Abuse of the service (including sending excessive volumes of messages) may result in temporary or permanent suspension of access.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue through the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months. Pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice.
By texting Second Look, you consent to receive automated text message responses related to your scam analysis requests. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your usage. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance.
Supported carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Second Look and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.
